The Making of a Ladybug Cake
1. Bake Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake according to directions. Be sure to grease and flour.
Bake in ceramic bowl until center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
Wait 5 min to cool, then turn over onto prepared dish with lettuce in spiral form.
2. Cool completely before frosting. Use chocolate frosting 1/4" thick, to enable 'pushing' the cookies into the cake.Black licorce cut to form. For antennae, dig a small hole with a knife.
Top antennae with marshmallows. Transport to Baking Contest, driving carefully.
3. Smile when you win 2nd Place!
